The SOS4Kids is designed to be an age and distance appropriate triathlon modeled off the Survival of the Shawangunks multi-stage triathlon for adults. Our goal is to introduce young girls and boys to the sport of triathlon and promote a healthy and active lifestyle for kids and their parents throughout Hudson Valley.
The SOS4Kids is put on by a group of volunteers who are dedicated to this purpose and without whom this race would not be possible.
We are supported by the SOS Race Committee who both sponsors the race and volunteers to assist kids throughout the course - even serving up ice cream at the post-race awards ceremony.

Registration is open to all athletes who are 7 – 15 years of age as of December 31, 2024.

Entry is granted to the first 100 athletes.

Entry Fee: $45 (until August 10, 2024*)

USAT Annual Youth License: $10**
*T-shirt size not guaranteed after August 10, 2024, but we will try our best!
** USAT membership is REQUIRED - no exceptions
REFUND POLICY:
No refunds will be granted after JULY 31st
RACE PACKETS:
A confirmation email will be sent once online registration and payment is completed. Information on packet pick-up and information for first time triathletes will be sent via email about a week before race day.
Race packets will include race number and “goodies.” Finisher t-shirts will be handed to athletes as they cross the finish line.
Parents/Guardians, you are required to sign a USAT application and waiver during registration and an SOS waiver during packet pick-up for your athlete to be able to race.
OTHER INFO:
Important Notice – due to the large number of organizations involved with putting this race together, the race will be held rain or shine.
Race Director decisions are final.
